RheinFilm wurde 2003 von Stefan Jakob und Juliane Thevissen übernommen und als unabhängige Produktionsfirma in Nordrhein-Westfalen etabliert. Mit Sitz in Köln haben die beiden Produzenten die Produktionsfirma in kürzester Zeit mit unterhaltsamen wie anspruchsvollen Fernsehfilmen in verschiedenen Genre erfolgreich positioniert. Neben weiteren TV-Movies und Fernsehfilmen, produziert RheinFilm nun auch erste Kinofilme für ein europäisches Publikum und einen internationalen Markt.
Seit 2006 sind Stefan Jakob und Juliane Thevissen zudem in die Geschäftsführung der EIKON West eingetreten und kooperieren mit Eikon Berlin bei Serien- und Kinoproduktionen.


In 2003, managing shareholder Juliane Thevissen and Stefan Jakob took over RheinFilm, formerly part of TaunusFilm, and etablished it as an independent production company in Cologne, Germany. In the last years, RheinFilm produced and worked together with public and private German Broadcasters TV movies (drama, comedies, family entertainment) and started to shoot their first feature films in 2008. In the cologne region, in northrhine-westfalia, the company has a strong film infrastructure, works together with partners and supports young talents of the region. The movies they want to produce in their feature films have in common their thematic relevance to an international audience, thereby mirroring the interest in taking on challenging topics and producing ambitious movies on an international level.
